Online via Zoom · Live interactive small cohort

Disengage from the conflict, without disengaging from your kids.

You can’t make a high-conflict co-parent reasonable. You can stop the chaos of high-conflict co-parenting from running your life. Six weeks of small-cohort training built specifically for parents in high-conflict co-parenting situations, led by Coach Michelle Mitchell, J.D.* She is a California litigator (20+ years), Martha Beck Certified Wayfinder Coach (20+ years), New Ways for Families® Certified Instructor and Educator (High Conflict Institute), and trained in Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing®. She found her own way out of a high-conflict co-parenting situation by building and applying the very tools she now teaches. The course synthesizes nervous system regulation, BIFF® communication, and Byron Katie’s The Work into practical playbooks you can use the week you’re actually having, not the week you wish you had.

The 6-week curriculum

Live training every Thursday. Each session blends nervous system science, evidence-based communication frameworks, and applied homework you can use the week you’re having, not the week you wish you had.

Wk 1
My Role in Conflict. Why knowing better doesn’t make you act better. The nervous system science and neuroplasticity research behind why you keep getting hooked, plus the regulation practice that makes “knowing” finally translate to doing.
Wk 2
Beliefs, Perspective & Communication That Holds Up. The exhausting cycle of rewriting every message. The hidden beliefs that drive escalation. BIFF® in depth, plus a preview of our SAFE™ framework. → SAFE™ Ghostwriting for the highest-stakes messages.
Wk 3
Parallel Parenting, Contact = Conflict & ROOTS™. The worry that parallel parenting will hurt your kids (it doesn’t, when done right). How to set it up so it works. Plus ROOTS™ (Regular Opportunities Of Togetherness & Stability), the strongest antidote we know to parental alienation.
Wk 4
Pro-Kid Parenting: Emotional Safety & Letting Go of Control. The impossible position of hearing your child’s pain without being able to fix it. What to say when they come home and report the other parent. How to validate without trashing or rescuing.
Wk 5
Bullet-Proof Parenting Plans, Holidays, Transitions & Traditions. The dread of every holiday and pickup. Building plans the court will actually enforce. Transitions as nervous-system events that need rituals, not pep talks. New traditions that make a half-time family feel whole.
Wk 6
Holding Steady: Self-Care, Soul-Care & Repair. The depletion of holding it together for everyone. The highest-ROI self-care practice. How to repair (with your kid, with yourself, with the version of you who’s coming next).

"
What stood out most to us is that Michelle is not "pro Mom" or "pro Dad," she is truly "pro child." We walked away from the course with practical tools, clearer communication strategies, and a much better understanding of how to manage difficult interactions in a way that prioritizes the well-being of our child. This was absolutely worth the investment.

Michelle saved me. My lawyer suggested I find a parenting coach to stay ahead of a custody battle. The 6-week class was wonderful — Michelle was flexible with my schedule. Loved her notebook to jot things down, appreciated being able to ask questions and how the content related to our personal life. Look no further, you've found the best co-parenting coach.

Michelle was fantastic and I really enjoyed this course. I learned a lot about myself and how to better handle my divorce with the strategies that Michelle suggested and the training aids/materials she provided. I would highly recommend this course to anyone going through a divorce, especially a high-conflict divorce.

Always felt better and less alone with my coparenting challenges following the class, and had some concrete ideas of how to reduce conflict for my family.
