Certified, experienced, and built for high-conflict families. We're the co-parenting coaches parents hire when the cycle has become toxic and the cost to the kids is mounting.
Michelle's journey into coaching evolved out of her life-long interest in serving others, personal growth, spirituality, a passion for protecting children, and her unique experience as both a licensed attorney*, a High Conflict Co-Parenting Coach, and a Martha Beck Certified Wayfinder Coach.
She completed her undergraduate work at the University of San Diego, studying Psychology and Philosophy and graduating with honors, and received her Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law. Michelle has been a Martha Beck Certified Wayfinder Coach for 20 years, is a Certified New Ways for Families® Instructor and Educator with the High Conflict Institute, and is trained in Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing®. Her work draws on techniques developed by Martha Beck (best-selling author of Breaking Point and Finding Your Own North Star) and Byron Katie's four-question inquiry, alongside her own frameworks built over two decades of high-conflict co-parenting work.
Michelle's coaching is rooted in somatic regulation. Through her training in Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing®, she teaches clients that lasting change happens in the nervous system first, then in behavior. The reactivity that fuels high-conflict cycles isn't a character flaw, it's a nervous-system response, and that's where her work begins.
Michelle teaches her own 6-Week High Conflict Co-Parenting Skills Intensive™ and founded the SAFE™ Communications & Ghostwriting Program for clients who need ongoing message support. She is also an Educator with the High Conflict Institute through her New Ways for Families® certification, and has been a California licensed attorney* for over 20 years. Her coaching is rooted in her years of research and experience with high-conflict co-parenting, her personal journey through her own once very high-conflict relationship which is now low-to-no conflict, and her childhood experience of a family ripped apart by conflict.
"Michelle Mitchell is a farsighted, huge-hearted, clear-minded coach who will get you out of the stickiest, thorniest dilemmas life can create. She's particularly good at coaching people through transitions. Her insights are wonderfully liberating for anyone who feels stuck. I loved being coached by her, and I think you will too."Martha Beck · Best-selling author, columnist for O: The Oprah Magazine
Brittany is a Co-Parenting Communication Ghostwriting Coach, Author, and Educator. As the mother of four children, she's constantly amazed by kids' resourcefulness, resiliency, and ability to adapt. She brings warmth, kindness, and deep empathy to every client conversation.
Brittany is a wonderful writer with a discerning eye for applying the principles of our SAFE™ Communications & Ghostwriting Program and BIFF®. She has the rare gift of distilling a hostile message into what's actually being said, then partnering with clients to craft calm, child-centered replies that hold up under scrutiny.
She's a former foster mom and teacher, and currently volunteers as the coordinator for a local children's home. This background has contributed toward Brittany's passion for creating safe and nurturing environments for children.
Brittany studied Spanish and secondary education at Grove City College and has traveled and lived throughout Latin America, most recently moving with her husband and their four children to live in Ecuador, where they've lived for over five years. She has tremendous respect for the importance of family in Latino cultures, and particularly enjoys coming alongside Spanish-speaking parents as they work to create healthy contexts for their children. Brittany leads our Spanish-language editions of the 6-Week High Conflict Co-Parenting Skills Intensive™, making the same evidence-based curriculum available to Latino co-parents in their first language.
She brings over fifteen years of ghostwriting experience to High Conflict Resolutions, LLC, and is an integral part of the HCR team.
